An interesting challenge.....

So it is time for another challenge at Digi Galore, and this time our sponsor is the fab Make It Crafty, where you can win $15 store credit

Zoe set the challenge for us this time, and it was certainly a challenge indeed!

The theme this time is Scenes, and I had a couple of ideas in mind for this, but one really stuck. When some of the fantasy images came out from Make It Crafty, there were a few gnomes, and one I fell in love with straight away, so I had to do him and his home! When you buy images from Zoe you get them in png format so you can easily create scenes with characters and backgrounds.

Here is what I made using Gnomey Peter and Mushroom House:

I decided to keep the final project simple and make a hanger from the image. I printed the image to fit an A5 page so I could clearly see all the detail in the gnome and house

I created the sky using ink pads, I shall share a tutorial post on that technique soon :)

The white spots atop the mushroom are highlighted using some matt white glitter, adds a little extra texture.

Pens used:
Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Coral, Pale Pink, Warm Grey 1, Warm Grey 3, Satin, Ivory, Oasis, Cyan, Azure, Reef Blue, Burgundy, Crimson, Cardinal Red, Umber, Henna, Walnut, Burnt Sienna, Cinnamon, Sandstone, Linen (F), Gold, Lime Green, Bright Green, Grass, Forest Green, Mustard, Pineapple Crush, Pastel Yellow

I mounted the image onto some black cardstock, and it is hanging with some airmail twine.

I can't wait to see your creations!
